Masayo graduated from a graphic design course at Tohoku University of Art and Design in Japan, then graduated with a master of design degree at the University of New South Wales. As a graphic designer and illustrator, Masayo has a passion to achieve high quality works based on her clients requirements. Her most important business philosophy is listening to the client carefully and aiming to exceed the client’s expectation with schedule.

Masayo has a variety of design project experiences, from web site design and delivery to a range of print media design, illustration and art direction.

As an illustrator, Masayo loves drawing Japanese Manga which has its own specific techniques. A rich variety of facial expressions are used according to the needs of each scene. Masayo likes drawing stories for and about girls, showing sweet, cute and dramatic scenes with beautiful and unique characters.

As an artist, Masayo has a passion about stroke movement using a brush with traditional black ink. She has been studying Sumi-e, Japanese traditional ink brush painting, since June 2017. In November 2018, had a joint exhibition of Sumi-e and mixed media at the Cre8tiv gallery with a friend.

Masayo has a passion about teaching art and craft to kids. She has been a casual art teacher at Nihongojuku and loves to encourage kids to be creative and use Japanese language while doing art works.
She believes that this is a great way to learn Japanese words; in the process of art work. She has also run art workshops for children at daycare and preschools in Australia.
